We arrived at our hotel in Troon late the night before. Got up
early and went to Royal Troon Golf Club. The Open was played here a
couple of months ago. Justin Leonard is quite a favorite here.
This is the famous postage stamp hole. The caddies told us that Tiger had a 6 here. We don't feel so bad. |

This was a four caddie day although Eric carried his own bag in the
afternoon. Note that Al and his caddie were missing from this
picture. We think they were off sharing a bottle from the local
distillery.
We had a great time with these guys. They were making bets on us, we were making bets on us. We played 36 holes today. These guys had to put up with us the whole day. In the afternoon, we shared what was left of a bottle of Famous Grouse. Great day. Memorable experience with 8 friends. |
